Lit Out Loud is back with another exciting event!
Join us in the backyard of dear friend books as Khaya Fraites, an award-winning voice and film actor, narrates a selection from her debut novella, RIP, LOL.
RIP, LOL is a coming-of-age novella about grief, loss, and family, following NYU student Willow Davis as she deals with a death in the family and navigates her future, with a focus on Gen Z life in Brooklyn and Richmond.
Khaya has narrated a number of titles for Penguin Random House, Recorded Books, and Macmillan Publishing. Her most notable work includes Graphic Audio’s adaptation of The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros. Khaya was recently featured on Business Insider, NBC’s Today in the Bay, and Empire Magazine for her voice work.

As twilight falls, the moon will rise on the fantasy ball – a glittering affair where enchanted gowns twirl, goblets overflow, and creatures of all realms dance to the rhythm of the music. Costumes are encouraged, magic is expected, and wonder is guaranteed!
This is a fundraiser for animal rescues and is a 19+ event.
